Capturing patient feedback isn’t a new concept. But most, if not all, of this feedback is retrospective — in other words, providers get the feedback when it’s too late to do anything about it while the patient is still with them. Collecting in-the-moment patient feedback allows providers to take service recovery action when needed, and address any outstanding needs patients might have prior to being discharged from the facility.
